Four years on, Down DPP finally publish minutes
It is good to see that Down District Policing Partnership has finally published the minutes of their meetings – which, in some cases, means almost four years after they should have done so.
As previously indicated on newcastle rocks, this failure to make public their minutes online, placed Down DPP in breach of their own code of practice.
It is interesting that the publication comes just within a twenty day period since we made a Freedom of Information request to Down DPP for their minutes and a number of other publications, most (although not all) of which have also now been published online.
A victory for newcastle rocks and local blogging or just pure coincidence? Who knows, but we’re happy that – even if belatedly – Down DPP has now fulfilled their obligation to keep local people informed about their activities.
Pity about all those other DPPs we documented as also in breach of ther code… Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
